The Aurora Borealis

On Sunday, November 7, 2004 a large solar storm reached the earth and the resulting magneticactivity was seen all over the globe. I originally saw a photo of the Northern Lights that was taken in Washington DC earlier in the evening and I then immediately went outside in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan to see if the lights were visible. All images shot with a digital camera, Nikon D100 with a 28mm Tamron 2.8 lens.
